A depressing week of hell 6 — the cold sniffles and exhausting work week

February 6th - 10th: a week of hell & sniffles

Twinings Ginger Tea

  • Started to consider the idea of building my own business.
  • For the past week, everyone in my family has caught a cold. And of course, it was my turn to catch a cold next — my nose started to feel congested, had a slight cough, eyes were feeling very tired. All in all, it was challenging to get work done near the end of the week; it was hard to concentrate.
    • I took care of myself by drinking lots of ginger tea from Twinning and of course relaxing with Gilmore Girls.
    • I was also super excited about the news that Big Brother Canada season 11 is starting on March 8th!
  • Work has become significantly stressful as tax season progresses. The amount of support needed at work has risen to more than 20 tickets per day, making it difficult to take lunch breaks.
    • Had to work overtime to finish supporting associates with their books.
  • Hadestown is touring in Canada, so my older sister and I have begun scouting for tickets! I am beyond thrilled to see this in summer!

February 11th: sunny day and family chaos

  • Spring is soon approaching, and I couldn't be any happier. It's been so long since I have last seen the sun. I went out for a walk to get some fresh air and a little bit of vitamin C in hopes of helping me with my cold.
  • My parents got into a huge fight, leaving my siblings and me in a huge shock. Both my parents went on a walk separately to cool off, and before you know it, everyone is fine again.
  • I still wasn't feeling 100%, so I spent the rest of the day playing with my sister's pet bunny and, of course, ended the day watching Gilmore Girls.

February 12th: grocery store walkings, more sun, and a snacky kind of day

  • Super stoked that today is another sunny day. Spring is really arriving soon and I cannot wait!
  • I am finally feeling 95% better! I still have a slight cough remaining.
  • My older sister and I took a trip to the supermarket and walked around for a bit. We stopped by to look at the snacks aisle — potato chips, popcorn, iced tea drinks, and cookies — of course since we both have a big sweet tooth as well as junk food cravings!
  • One of my resolutions this year is to read more books, so I signed up for a digital library card on Overdrive — to fully activate it, I visited my local library branch but unfortunately, the library was closed today.
